I’ve learned you can shift a community one cuppa at a time. For 30 years— from tackling schoolyard homophobia in the ’90s to championing inclusion where few venture—I’ve watched those conversations make towns safer and kinder.
A 266-day road trip, sharing thousands of coffees with LGBTIQA+ people and allies across Australia, proved it beyond doubt. That journey sparked Rural Pride Australia. We cut through the isolation facing queer folks and the services that support them outside the cities, putting inclusion at the top of the agenda. Our mission is simple: spark hope and ensure LGBTIQA+ people can thrive in every regional, rural and remote community.

RPA is supported by a dedicated team that effortless works to improve the lives our people in rural, regional and remote areas. Our team is formed by a diverse drop on volunteers.
